Thinking about keithy today, its his birthday, saw him for the first time in a couple of years (he's been in Australia) when i picked him up from Stansted with his friend Olly. It was great to see him again and to hear so much of what had happenned he has changed so much, and grown up so quick, seems like only yesterday he would drive me mad with all the Why dad Why questions. I am so glad that i always took the time to answer them.
Fathers and sons are a special and unique relationship that is essential in every childs life and it is easy to take them for granted or just let them drift. Well he's back for a short while to earn some money before he goes off to Malaysia and the far east, i hope i can be man in enough to sort out the emotional distance i feel has come between us before i have to cope with the physical separation again.
Just thinking Happy Birthday Keithy in case you do not hear it.
Sons need their Fathers, and Fathers definitely need their sons.
